New Year’s Slush


Blend bananas and fruit juices. Divide evenly into 2 icecream pails . Boil water and add sugar – stirring to dissolve. Divide into the two pails. Stir well. Freeze. To serve fill glass halfway with slush. Add gingerale and stir.

2 cans 295ml frozen orange juice concentrate

2 litres pineapple juice

1.5 litres (3 cups or approx 6 bananas) ripe banana puree

250 ml lemon juice

2 litres water

900 grams (4 cups) granulated sugar

Optional- add 500ml vodka to one pail of slush before freezing.
