Savory Baked Beans

I enjoy baked beans on a cold winter day. But many recipes are overly sweet for me. This one is less sweet and uses two kinds of beans – navy beans and black beans.

Savory Baked Beans - Gluten Free - Easy!

4 cups dried navy beans
8 cups water
1 can (822 grams) cooked black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp prepared mustard
1 tbsp molasses
1 tsp cumin ( or a bit more if you like)
1 tsp. salt
1 farmer sausage 680 grams – sliced into 1/4 slices
Method:
Cook navy beans according to directions on package or used canned navy beans.
Place in large slow cooker. Add the black beans and the remaining ingredients. Stir to mix.
Cook on Low 8 hours or on High for 4. Add a bit more water if too dry.
